CHRISTIAN RESPONSE: Men have and will endlessly dispute over the possession of lands with varying degrees of truth to their claims. With Israel, it's very different. Israel is the only land on the face of the planet that was directly deeded to a people, and that is to Abraham, then Isaac, then Jacob. We support Israel having their land b/c God gave it to them and has yet a role for them in His eternal plan. There are 7 years yet coming in which God's attention will be turned wholly to Israel once the church in raptured to be with the Lord. The people called Palestinians today have a home and a country, mostly the country of Jordan.
